Sabino Canyon:
After 3 days of heavy monsoon rain, clear water was abundant in Sabino Canyon in September 2013. The classic copper tea color of the water is from surrounding oak tree roots leaching their tannins to make a stunning shimmering foreground as it represents our desert oasis, and invites swimmers to frolic in the cool pools.
